Facebook Inline Ads

I don’t mind the sidebar ads on Facebook because they don’t interrupt what I’m reading in my friend feed. The ads randomly forced in between my friends’ posts are more intrusive than I would like, particularly when so many of them are irrelevant to my interests. I wish they would get smarter and at least insert ads I might halfway be interested in. Google has that down. Isn’t that what all smart online ads are supposed to do already? Of all platforms, who should know more about what we might like than Facebook? Hopefully their targeting will improve in time.

As intrusive as inline ads are, their value to Internet Marketers cannot be ignored. The placement right into our feed is a big part of why they are one of the highest performing advertising options available these days. Below is a link to an article that’s a good reference.
